Terrence L. Brennan is head of the firm's Construction Department. His practice is devoted primarily to the areas of construction and construction surety law, and he is actively engaged in representing owners, architects, engineers, surveyors, contractors, suppliers and building construction sureties. He has extensive experience in alternative dispute resolution methods and procedures.

Mr. Brennan has assisted in the teaching of a course in legal aspects of professional practice for the College of Architecture and Design at Tulane University. From 1990 to 2000, he taught a course entitled "Construction Industry Law" at Loyola University of the South. He served as editor and co-author of the "Construction Industry Insurance Handbook," published by Wiley & Sons in 1991, including chapters on Coverage for Fines, Penalties, and Punitive Damages and Coverage for Toxic Substances and Pollution. In 1995, Mr. Brennan authored an article entitled "Construction Insurance: A General Perspective - publication of the ABA's Forum on the Construction Industry" (Jan. 1995) and co-authored Louisiana's chapter of "The Fifty States Public Construction Contracting" published by Wiley and Sons (1996). Mr. Brennan also authored two chapters for the "Construction Claims Deskbook: Management, Documentation and Presentation of Claims" published by Wiley and Sons (1996). He has also submitted papers and been a featured speaker at seminars and programs sponsored by several organizations and associations, including the Construction Specifications Institute, the Associated General Contractors, Associated Builders and Contractors, the Louisiana AIA, the New Orleans Chapter of the AIA and the Greater New Orleans Business Roundtable.
