Fritz Bott is an emeritus partner in the firm. His practice is primarily litigation-related. Mr. Bott's aviation practice has included his role as one of the principal trial attorneys for Pan American World Airways and its insurers arising out of the crash of Pan Am Flight #759 in Kenner, Louisiana, in 1982 and the crash of Eastern Flight #66 at Kennedy Airport, New York, in 1975. His Professional and D&O Defense practice has included the defense of architects, engineers, attorneys, accountants, physicians, dentists and undertakers, as well as bank officers and both inside and outside bank directors. Mr. Bott gained international experience handling matters on behalf of a multinational contractor.

Mr. Bott's clients in the construction arena have included architects, engineers, general contractors, subcontractors, owners and developers, and equipment manufacturers. He has participated in arbitration of construction-related disputes, both as litigant and as arbitrator, under the rules of the American Arbitration Association as well as under the Louisiana Civil Code and the Federal Arbitration Act. Additionally, he has represented sureties on construction projects and insurers on fidelity bond claims.

Fritz Bott's trial experience was gained early, as his first regular responsibility was the representation of the local Yellow Cab Company. This afforded him the opportunity to try a multitude of cases, both with and without juries. He has defended cases in which actual damages have been in the tens of millions of dollars.

Mr. Bott has written articles for Insurance Counsel Journal relating to fidelity and surety law, and has spoken at various litigation and construction related seminars at Loyola Law School and at the Louisiana State Bar Association.
