Kilpatrick Speaks on Hurricane Katrina Litigation

NEW ORLEANS, LA. – Jennifer S. Kilpatrick will be a speaker as part of a panel discussion on Hot Topics in Environmental Law at the American Bar Association's Annual Meeting in New York in August 2008. Her presentation covers "Category Five Cases," which includes the five main types of litigation to emerge from Hurricane Katrina.
Kilpatrick, a partner in the New Orleans office of Deutsch, Kerrigan & Stiles and frequent speaker at ABA events, has extensive experience in the realm of toxic tort litigation, and currently serves as co-national coordinating counsel for a manufacturer of textiles, as well as defending that company in Louisiana. She has represented a number of manufacturers and distributors in asbestos and silica litigation in Louisiana in all phases of litigation--including on appeal--and has served as court-appointed defense liaison counsel for defendants in numerous cases.
