Le Clercq Presents on Workplace Investigations

NEW ORLEANS, LA. – Frederic Theodore 'Ted' Le Clercq, a partner in the New Orleans office of Deutsch, Kerrigan & Stiles, will be a speaker at an "Employment Law from A to Z in Louisiana" CLE on November 7, 2008.

Le Clercq's presentation will cover the do's and don'ts of workplace investigations, and will provide key information on the following:

  • What Is Harassment and How Much Do You Know
  • Race, Sex, National Origin, Disability and Religion
  • EEOC Guidance on Investigations
  • Tips for Conducting Investigations
  • Resolution of Complaint and Discipline
  • Discoverability of Investigations
  • Retaliation Issues and Problems

Le Clercq is co-head of the firm's Labor & Employment Department and both defends labor & employment claims and provides training to companies on personnel issues.  He received his B.A. degree cum laude from Washington & Lee University and his J.D. degree from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville where he was a member of the Tennessee Law Review, Labor Law Moot Court, and National Moot Court teams. He was the McClung Medal recipient for Best Oral Advocacy at the University of Tennessee School of Law. He also won the award for Best Oral Advocacy at the National Labor Law competition in New York.
