DK&S Teaches Its Disaster Recovery Plan to I.T. Executives
October 6, 2010
New Orleans, LA
–Deutsch, Kerrigan & Stiles will be speaking to top information technology executives about the firm’s award-winning business continuity/disaster recovery program at “Storage Networking World,” the world’s largest storage, data center and I.T. infrastructure conference, on October 13, 2010.
The firm implemented its business continuity/disaster recovery program in the wake of Hurricane Katrina in order to safeguard client data and enable uninterrupted communication in the event of another hurricane or other disaster.
“Like a fire drill, every year we test our entire I.T. infrastructure, which includes approximately 10 servers,” said Don Champagne, director of administration for the firm, who will be giving the presentation. “Hurricanes along the Gulf Coast and eastern seaboard are a fact of life and need to be taken seriously.”
The firm was recognized for its program by being named to InfoWorld’s list of the Top 100 I.T. Projects of 2009. The presentation will focus on the steps and best practices other companies can take to ensure the continuous access to e-mail and other critical I.T. systems that DK&S enjoys so that business activities are not disrupted during a disaster.
