Le Clercq Among Winners of Saints 2011 Community Quarterback Award

 

New Orleans, La. – The New Orleans Saints announced the winners of their 2011 Community Quarterback Award immediately prior to their regular season closer against the Carolina Panthers, and Deutsch, Kerrigan & Stiles attorney Frederic Theodore “Ted” Le Clercq was in that number.

 

The Community Quarterback Award “recognizes outstanding volunteers in the Gulf South Region. Individuals exhibiting leadership, dedication and commitment to improving their community are candidates for the program,” according to the New Orleans Saints website.

 

“This award is particularly meaningful to me because Drew Brees is my personal community involvement hero – he seems to be everywhere in the community at once doing great things and setting such a high standard by the way he conducts himself,” said Le Clercq in thanking the Saints for the award.

 

Le Clercq, who is a member of several civic and charitable boards of directors throughout the city, was recognized primarily for his work replanting 287 new live oaks along St. Charles Avenue with the support of the St. Charles Avenue Association, which will receive a $1000 grant from the Saints.  This latest honor is one of several the replanting has garnered, a complete list of which can be found at http://www.dkslaw.com/news/trees.php.
